LES DETERMINANTS DE LA LOCALISATION DES ENTREPRISES INDUSTRIELLES DANS LA REGION DU CENTRE-CAMEROUN

Abstract : Since many years, the industrial dynamic started in Cameroon through some policies and regulations putted in the industrial sector certify motivations and objectives of the government who wants to get back with a formerly glorious and prosperous past. Thus, many companies have started up and have chosen to be in this new economic dynamic. That’s why we can observe a hatching of industries to every level in the society. More specifically, we discover that exists in the Center region an important agglomeration. This work tries to explain the reasons, which can attract those industries in that area. On the other hand, we know that the localization of one industry is not the fact of chance, but depends of many factors sensitive to explain this localization. It emerges after survey on the field that a considerable number of companies localize themselves in Center region of Cameroon not only to be near of factors of production, but also by imitation. In order to confirm empirically our hypothesis of beginning, we have chosen the ordered model logit and binary model logit to present results. So tests and estimations elaborated through of the data collected we permit to us to confirm that the economic models enumerated in the economic literature are valid in Center region of Cameroon.
