REPRESENTATIONS SOCIALES ET ENSEIGNEMENT DE L'HISTOIRE NATIONALE DANS UN CONTEXTE DE GUERRES CHEZ LES ETUDIANTS DE L'I.S.P.-BUKAVU (1996-2013)

Abstract : Social representations of the teaching of the national history in a war context (1996-2013) case of students of Bukavu Teachers Training College" is the title of this scientific article in which opinions of History Department fourth year students have been analyzed in accordance to this domain. In fact, following the current programme in the DRC, the teaching of national history seems to be neglected whereas in a cross-border town like Bukavu, where foreign influences are very strong, social representations play a major role in the teaching and the learning of the teaching career of history as well as in its civic quality. Thus, in accordance to the opinions of those Bukavu students, we believe that the Congolese legislator should institute a course in the history of Congo at secondary school and increase the time devoted to its teaching in the Department of History and Social Sciences in the Teachers Training Colleges and universities across the country.
