Abstract : In this study, we have analyzed the sugars content, but also alcohol, in eighteen varieties of beer consumption, all marketed or manufactured by world renowned brewers. Results obtained demonstrate that all beers without any exception contain sugars, in proportions comparable within categories. Another unexpected result, but also predictable, concerns the category of "non-alcoholic beers". We found that the amounts of sugars are systematically at least the double of those found in the mother beers from which they are drawn by distillation.
